The “Target Nail Distance” parameter defines how far a nail can move into the material as a result of hammer strikes.
It sets the maximum driving depth the nail can reach – that is, the distance the nail can travel from its starting position toward the final target position through repeated hammer hits.
Once the nail has moved this full distance, it is considered fully driven in, and further hammering will no longer have an effect.
