4.3.2.2 Initial Nail Distance

The “Initial Nail Distance” parameter in URealXR defines the starting position of a nail relative to its fully driven-in state.

  • It determines how far the nail initially protrudes from the surface before any hammer interaction takes place.

  • This value is typically given in centimeters or Unreal units.

  • The nail will visually and physically appear offset by this distance from its final "fully inserted" position.

Example:

  • Initial Nail Distance = 3 cm: → The nail starts 3 cm out from the final target position. It must be driven in (via hammering) to reduce this distance to 0 cm.
