1.3.1.3 Attached Actors

It is possible to add additional Actors to a created Part. This is done using the "Attached Actors" function in the Details panel. To do this, simply click the plus symbol!

You can now either use the dropdown list to search for the desired Actor, or click on the eyedropper icon and manually select the Actor directly in the scene.

Before we proceed with this step, let’s drag a model from our Meshes folder into the scene — this will be the object we want to attach. For example, we’ll use the model named Bolt_Gross.

To allow an object to be attached, it must first be set to Moveable in the Details panel.

Now reselect the Part of the gear and choose the eyedropper tool.

Click on the 3D model you just placed in the scene using the eyedropper. The model is now linked to the gear and will follow its movements.
