3.3 Adding a virtual assistant
With the URealXR toolset, it is also possible to add a virtual assistant to the scene. This assistant is represented as a robot that can display speech bubbles to provide instructions. This supports knowledge transfer on both a visual and textual level. To activate the robot, go to the Tool Spawner and click the “Robot Spline” button.

After pressing the button, a line will appear in the viewport, which defines the movement area of the virtual assistant. Position it at approximately 120 cm above the floor and in front of the first way point.

In the next step, we will assign the robot to a section where it should appear. To do this, open the “Waypoints” section in the Task List Editor. With the Robot Spline still selected in the viewport, click the blue button to assign the actor.

The final result should look like this.

When you now click the green plus button next to the text “Robot Chat Text,” a text field will automatically appear below. Here you can enter any text you want the robot to communicate. If you click the plus again, another line will appear, which will be displayed after the configured “Robot Message Delay.”

The final result can look like this.

The robot remains visible as long as the task or section has not been completed. Once this is the case, it disappears again.
You can reuse the same Robot Spline for the other tasks, or you can insert a new one into the scene and position the second one above the pump. This way, the robot is easier to see for further instructions.

Always make sure that if you want to use the robot as a helper in a section, it is correctly linked.
