The Spline Movement Actor allows you to move any actor (object) along a predefined path. The animation starts automatically as soon as the task becomes active. To use it, spawn a Spline Movement Actor into the scene via the ToolSpawner.

Select the Spline Movement Actor and direct your attention to the Details panel.Press the button with the plus sign to add an actor.

Go to the folder VRAssembling/meshes and add the mesh named SM_Gauge_Arm to the scene.Place it on the line as shown below.

Important: for the 3D object to follow the path, it must be set to Moveable in the Details panel.

Now select the Spline Movement Actor again and use the eyedropper tool under Moving Actors to select the pointer in the viewport.

Now define the duration of the animation using the Length parameter. For this test, we will use 5 seconds.

You can select a spline point in the scene and, while holding down the ALT key, drag out an additional point. Do this as shown in the image.

Also check the box for Snap Actor in Editor.

Create a new section using the Tasklist Editor and add the Spline Movement.

Try it out in VR!
